Care at Advent

Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God (2 Corinthians 1:3-4).

Whatever your circumstances - physical or mental health issues, grief, job loss, family distress, or if you just have questions about faith - we want to hear from you. Our church has a holistic view of pastoral care that involves both clergy and laity. Sometimes meeting with a clergy member is what is most needed. At other times, other members of our church family (Core Groups, prayer team, etc.) are the people best positioned to offer help. When you complete this form, your information will be sent directly to our clergy, and they will reach out to you as soon as possible to help you determine what route would be most helpful.

  • Pastors are available to meet with you 1-4 times before providing an additional referral. In addition to filling out the form above, you may schedule a meeting directly with with Pastor Jeff here or Pastor Hilary here

We also want to connect you with resources outside of our church including counselors, spiritual directors, and other organizations. Please click on each section below to learn more.

  • In addition to the counselors listed on our website, Advent maintains an internal referral list, available by request. The list is provided as a courtesy, and the counselors on this list are from a variety of sources. Church of the Advent does not officially endorse, approve, or recommend any specific counselor listed. It is the responsibility of those using this list to do their own due diligence and make a personal decision regarding whether or not the counselor or organization meets their specific needs.
